Story Overview
You begin the story as N, abandoned at a young age and left wondering what your future will become. As hope begins to fade, a mysterious Mewtwo appears before you and reveals a powerful new Awakened Form.
Mewtwo explains that its clones are spreading destruction throughout the Unova Region, hiding within Hidden Grottos. Entrusting you with the fate of the region, it commands you to hunt down every clone and defeat them before they can cause further devastation.
For four years, you search without success before eventually giving up. Later, you decide to begin a Gym challenge, believing your journey may finally lead you to the remaining Mewtwo clones. Along the way, you encounter a friendly Latios, who chooses to become your companion and allows you to ride it throughout your adventure.
After defeating every Mewtwo clone hidden across Unova, the real Mewtwo appears in your dreams and challenges you to a final battle at the Hidden Grotto on Route 18, where your journey reaches its conclusion.
