About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Lightning White is a Nintendo DS ROM hack based on Pokémon White that introduces several gameplay and visual changes while largely retaining the original Unova adventure. Instead of playing as the standard protagonist, players take on the role of a member of the Shadow Triad, giving the game a different visual identity from the very beginning.
The hack also replaces several early-game mechanics. Rather than receiving one of the elemental monkeys, players are given a Kanto starter Pokémon, and the traditional bicycle is replaced with a motorcycle, which is obtained much earlier than in the original game.
