About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Edición Tricoma is a Spanish Pokémon FireRed ROM hack created by Pacodelopio. Instead of following the traditional Pokémon formula, the hack introduces a completely original adventure set in the Jirhona Region, featuring unconventional objectives, original gameplay mechanics, and numerous references to popular manga and animated series.
The game replaces many familiar systems with custom alternatives. Traditional Gyms become Grow Shops, Hidden Machines are largely removed in favor of key items, vehicles are used to reach new areas, and players pursue an unusual goal of earning entry into the legendary Green House. Alongside the first 251 Pokémon, the hack also introduces original Fakémon through alternate evolutions and pre-evolutions.
Story Overview
Your adventure begins in the peaceful Jirhona Region, where what seems like an ordinary day quickly turns into a life-changing event. After a heated argument with your parents, you and your Pokémon are thrown out of your home with nowhere to go.
While wandering around the region, you eventually stop beside a beautiful lake to gather your thoughts. There you meet a homeless man who shares his own life story. He explains that he was also forced to leave home at a young age but managed to build a successful life by becoming a Pokémon Trainer, traveling the world, earning money through battles, and gaining the respect of others.
Inspired by his story, you decide to follow the same path. Before leaving, the wanderer tells you about the legendary Green House, an exclusive place reserved for only the most prestigious Pokémon Trainers. Determined to prove yourself worthy, you learn that entry requires collecting the eight Bongs scattered throughout the districts of the Jirhona Region.
Rather than earning Gym Badges, you must complete the challenges found inside the region's Grow Shops, each managed by its own leader. Along the way, your journey expands far beyond simply collecting Bongs, leading you into conflicts with criminal organizations, encounters with Legendary Pokémon, prison escapes, searches for mystical artifacts, and many other unexpected adventures.

- HM Replacement System: Most Hidden Machines have been removed and replaced with key items such as a flotation device for Surf, a flashlight for Flash, a hammer for Rock Smash, a sword for Cut, a shovel for digging, and bombs for destroying certain obstacles.
- Vehicle-Based Exploration: Before obtaining some key items, players must steal specialized vehicles to access different parts of the region.
- Levitation Mechanic: Introduces the ability to levitate as part of the game's custom gameplay systems.
- Original Side Missions: Complete a wide variety of objectives beyond the main story, including defeating criminal organizations, rescuing Legendary Pokémon, collecting the seven Dragon Balls, escaping from prison, freeing the Green House members, defeating Mewtwo on its island, and even getting married and having children.
