About This ROM Hack
Pokemon Dark Phantom is a Japanese Pokémon Emerald ROM hack created by Chaotix that expands the original game with an original storyline, a revised starter selection, and an expanded Pokédex. Depending on the version played, the hack includes Pokémon from different generations, allowing players to experience progressively larger Pokémon rosters.
The project is available in three different versions. Version 1 includes Pokémon through Generation IV, Version 2 expands the roster through Generation V, while Version 3 adds the Pokémon that had been released from Pokémon X & Y (Generation VI) at the time of development.
In addition to the expanded Pokédex, the traditional Hoenn starters have been replaced with the starter Pokémon from Pokémon Black & White, giving players a different beginning to their Emerald adventure.
