About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Zephyr is an English-language GBA hack of FireRed that introduces a brand-new region called the Astro Region. The game features new maps, updated graphics, original scripts, and 42 Pokémon from Generation 4. Players will explore forests, jungles, beaches, deserts, and other areas, encountering new events, humorous dialogues, and a unique story that builds on both Hoenn and Kanto lore.
Story Overview
The Astro Region, a neighbor to Hoenn, has become the target of a dangerous criminal organization called Team Dakko, which emerged after the disbanding of Team Rocket. In October 2000, Team Dakko begins targeting the legendary Pokémon of the Astro Region, including Darkrai. Darkrai, when combined with Palkia, Dialga, and the legendary Twilight Gem, possesses the power to control time and space.
In February 2001, Team Dakko has established several headquarters across the region. By June 2001, Brendan/May arrives from Hoenn to the Astro Region, seeking Pokémon from Professor Ahgoo after unusual events in Hoenn prevent them from getting Pokémon from Professor Oak. Players take on the role of this trainer to stop Team Dakko and save the region’s Pokémon.
