About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Emerald Boss Rush is a highly unconventional Pokémon Emerald hack that removes traditional exploration entirely and focuses exclusively on battling and team building.
There are no routes to explore, no wild Pokémon encounters, and no villainous teams to stop. Instead, players prepare for a sequence of Gym battles by purchasing Pokémon, items, TMs, and other resources from specialized shops.
The hack is built around a progression system where facilities can be upgraded to unlock better options and stronger team-building tools. The project is based on DizzyEgg's Emerald Expansion, bringing numerous modern Pokémon mechanics into the experience.
At the time of this demo release, the game contains two Gyms available in both single-battle and double-battle formats.
Story Overview
There is no traditional story in Pokémon Emerald Boss Rush.
The game is entirely focused on preparing teams, upgrading facilities, and defeating increasingly difficult Gym Leaders.

- Pokémon Store Sprite Corruption: Occasionally, Pokémon sprites displayed in the Pokémon store may become corrupted. Closing and reopening the store fixes the issue.
- Pokémon Center Healing Limitation: It is not possible to manually heal Pokémon at the Pokémon Center. This is generally not problematic because all Pokémon are automatically healed after battles.
- Difficulty Curve Issues: The developer notes that the game's difficulty progression is currently unbalanced.
- Demo Limitation: The demo currently includes only the first two Gyms, available in both single-battle and double-battle formats.
