About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Ultimate Mega Ruby is a full-scale remake of the original Pokémon Ruby, developed by Maddy Styles and co-developer Arvin Torrente. This hack expands the classic Hoenn adventure with content from Generations 1–6, introducing modern gameplay mechanics, updated Pokémon movesets, and enhanced difficulty. Players can catch Pokémon from Kalos starters to Gen 6 additions, including Mega and Primal forms, and a huge roster of Legendary Pokémon.

Story Overview

The story follows the traditional Ruby plot in Hoenn, with your journey beginning as a young Pokémon Trainer. You challenge gyms, defeat Team Magma, and take on the Elite Four. However, the game is heavily expanded with additional Legendary encounters, updated Elite Four rosters, and more complex battles, creating a more challenging and rewarding gameplay experience.
