About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Super Heart Red is a large-scale enhancement hack of Pokémon FireRed focused on improving both visuals and gameplay systems while keeping the original Kanto journey mostly intact.
The project modernizes FireRed through updated graphics, improved tilesets, overworld sprites, mugshots, and battle backgrounds, giving the game a cleaner and more contemporary look compared to the original GBA version.
At the same time, it expands gameplay by introducing Pokémon up to Generation VII, along with Mega Evolution mechanics and updated item systems, making team building far more flexible than vanilla FireRed.
While the core structure of Kanto remains familiar, the visual redesign and expanded Pokémon availability make the experience feel significantly refreshed without changing the base story direction too heavily.
