About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Sun Flare is an improvement-style FireRed ROM hack that enhances the original Kanto adventure with mechanics, characters, and features inspired heavily by Pokémon Sun & Moon. Instead of replacing the region entirely, the hack upgrades FireRed with modern systems, additional Pokémon content, and new in-game events.

It is designed for players who want a feature-rich and easier Pokémon experience that blends classic GBA gameplay with Alola-inspired elements and expanded battle mechanics.

Story Overview

The base FireRed storyline remains mostly intact, but the world now includes Alola-themed trainers, special legendary encounters, and additional events that expand the journey. Throughout Kanto, players encounter new Pokémon, unique forms, and modern battle features not present in the original game.

Rather than changing the core narrative, Pokémon Sun Flare focuses on enhancing exploration, Pokémon variety, and battle mechanics, creating a hybrid Kanto–Alola experience.
