About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Pulsar Version is a dark-themed, story-driven GBA ROM hack set in an entirely original region called Durhanmo. Unlike traditional Pokémon adventures, Pulsar places a heavy focus on morality, crime, and ideology, introducing a cult-like organization that believes in divine judgment and absolute justice.
The hack blends Pokémon gameplay with mature narrative themes, extensive customization, and modern mechanics inspired by later generations (Gen 4–7), making it feel distinct from standard GBA-era experiences.
Story Overview
Over the past few years, crime has been steadily rising throughout the Durhanmo Region. In response, a mysterious entity known as Jashin has emerged in public consciousness. Revered by many as a god, Jashin is believed to have promised the purification of the world by eradicating criminals and those who “leech” off society.
Phrases such as “Jashin’s will is absolute” and “Defy Jashin and perish” echo throughout the region as Jashin’s followers, known as the Jashinists, begin enforcing their beliefs.
As the protagonist, you are thrust into a world where faith, fear, and power collide. The central question remains:
Do you have what it takes to stand against Jashin’s will?
