About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Platinum Red is a large-scale demake project that aims to recreate Pokémon Platinum entirely on the Game Boy Advance, bringing the Sinnoh experience into a Gen 3 engine.

It is one half of a dual project alongside Platinum Blue, but unlike its counterpart, Platinum Red focuses on being a faithful recreation of the original Platinum journey, rather than adding side content or deviations.

The hack introduces a wide range of modern Pokémon mechanics, DS-style visuals, and quality-of-life features, making it feel much closer to a Generation 4 experience despite running on GBA hardware.

However, it’s still in alpha development, meaning parts of the game—including story progression, polish, and features—may be incomplete or evolving.

Story Overview

Pokémon Platinum Red follows the core storyline of Pokémon Platinum, adapted for GBA hardware. You journey through the Sinnoh region, challenge Gym Leaders, confront Team Galactic, and uncover mysteries surrounding legendary Pokémon and alternate dimensions.

While many major story beats are present or planned, some events, sequences, and polish elements may still be incomplete or subject to change due to the alpha status.
