About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Perfect Pink is an early-stage GBA ROM hack that focuses on building a completely original region where Pokémon did not exist until relatively recently. Unlike vanilla-style enhancement hacks, Perfect Pink aims to blend classic Pokémon gameplay with modern mechanics and a fresh regional concept, incorporating Pokémon from Generations 1 through 7, including the possibility of regional forms.
As the name suggests, everything in this hack is subject to change, and the project is clearly positioned as a work-in-progress. Despite its early state, it already includes several modern mechanics such as the Physical/Special split and Fairy type, making it appealing to players who enjoy experimental and evolving ROM hack projects.
Story Overview
The story of Pokémon Perfect Pink takes place in a region where Pokémon did not originally exist. Only about 40 years ago, Pokémon were imported from other regions, fundamentally changing the world.
The protagonist moved to this region seven years ago and now lives quietly with his grandparents. Inspired by legendary Trainers like Red, he dreams of owning his own Pokémon and becoming a great Trainer himself.
One summer day, everything changes when the protagonist receives a mysterious gift from his grandmother — something he has never seen before. This event marks the beginning of his journey and the unfolding mysteries behind Pokémon’s arrival in the region.
