About This ROM Hack
Pokémon New Fire Red is a mechanics-first overhaul of Pokémon FireRed, designed to modernize the game while keeping the original Kanto storyline intact. Instead of rewriting narrative content, the hack focuses on how the game feels to play, upgrading systems, visuals, and battle logic to resemble later-generation Pokémon games.
The goal is to transform FireRed into a technically upgraded version of itself, blending Gen IV–VI mechanics with experimental systems that push beyond the limitations of the original GBA engine.
