About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Moon Galaxy is a completed FireRed-based ROM hack that blends the classic Kanto journey with Alola Region content, creating a hybrid adventure that expands far beyond the original game.
The hack introduces a new timeline set after Pokémon Trainer Red’s era, where the world has changed significantly. Players explore a modified Kanto while also traveling into the Alola region, encountering Pokémon from later generations and facing modern mechanics like Mega Evolution and Z-Moves.
The overall experience is built as a modernized FireRed remake with Gen 7 expansion, while still keeping the core structure of the original Pokémon journey intact.
Story Overview
The story takes place 15 years after the events of Pokémon Red.Red has mysteriously disappeared, and his son now lives in Pallet Town. The Kanto region has changed significantly, and Brock has replaced Professor Oak as the region’s Pokémon Professor.
As the protagonist begins their journey, they encounter Pokémon unknown to the original Kanto Pokédex. Over time, the story expands beyond Kanto, leading the player into the Alola Region, introducing familiar faces such as Lillie and uncovering a new threat tied to Team Rainbow Rocket.
