Pokémon Lotus is a beginner-developed ROM hack that introduces players to a brand-new region heavily inspired by Greek mythology. While it is the creator’s first project, it shows clear ambition through its custom story, original characters, and thematic direction centered around mythological elements.
The hack is built on a modified FireRed base, which provides a stable foundation while allowing for custom scripting and mapping. Although the project is incomplete and currently only extends to the fourth Gym, it already includes several cities, narrative progression, and a defined antagonist team.

Story Overview
The adventure takes place in the Lotus Region, where Professor Jujube, the regional Pokémon Professor, invites you to begin your journey by choosing one of the three classic Kanto starters. Professor Jujube is also the mother of your main rival, who doubles as your closest childhood friend, adding personal tension to your rivalry.
As your journey unfolds, you encounter Team Gaia, a mysterious organization inspired by mythological concepts. Their admin, Nyx, confronts you in Avalanche City, where Team Gaia has seized control of the local Power Plant. After their defeat, the group retreats to a hidden headquarters deep within the mountains.
Team Gaia’s ultimate goal is to resurrect and install Father Chaos as the ruler of the Lotus Region, threatening the balance between Pokémon, humans, and nature itself.
