About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Lotus is a story-driven Pokémon GBA ROM hack inspired by Greek mythology, created as the developer’s first major project. The hack introduces a completely new region known as the Lotus Region, featuring original cities, characters, and a mythological-themed antagonist organization. Despite being an early-stage project, Pokémon Lotus focuses heavily on exploration, narrative progression, and classic FireRed-style gameplay.
Story Overview
The adventure takes place in the Lotus Region, where Professor Jujube, the regional Pokémon Professor, invites you to begin your journey by choosing one of the three classic Kanto starters. Professor Jujube is also the mother of your main rival, who doubles as your closest childhood friend, adding personal tension to your rivalry.
As your journey unfolds, you encounter Team Gaia, a mysterious organization inspired by mythological concepts. Their admin, Nyx, confronts you in Avalanche City, where Team Gaia has seized control of the local Power Plant. After their defeat, the group retreats to a hidden headquarters deep within the mountains.
Team Gaia’s ultimate goal is to resurrect and install Father Chaos as the ruler of the Lotus Region, threatening the balance between Pokémon, humans, and nature itself.
