About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Johto League Showdown is a ROM hack based on Pokémon FireRed that follows Ash Ketchum’s journey in the Johto region after returning from the Orange Islands. Inspired by the Pokémon anime, this hack lets players experience Ash's adventure, catching all the Pokémon Ash catches during the Johto saga. Players will navigate new geographical layouts, face a stronger Team Rocket, and experience a variety of new features like a Day and Night system.
Story Overview
The story takes place after Ash returns from the Orange Islands with Professor Oak’s GS Ball. As Ash Ketchum, you embark on a journey through the Johto region, where you will meet old friends, challenge Gym Leaders, and experience the joy and struggles of becoming a Pokémon Master. The game follows Ash’s journey from the anime, so you will get to catch the same Pokémon Ash did while uncovering the unique challenges of Johto. Along the way, you'll also face a revamped and stronger Team Rocket.
