About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Fat Kid is a Game Boy Advance ROM hack that follows a unique protagonist known as Fat Kid through the entirely new Cheeto region. The hack introduces a humorous, tech-inspired adventure where Fat Kid, accompanied by a Porygon starter, must stop Team Hippy from destroying all technology.

This hack features numerous quality-of-life improvements, new tiles, custom sprites, and gameplay mechanics tailored to the protagonist’s distinctive style, such as riding a scooter instead of a bike and utilizing innovative item-based substitutes for HMs. The game incorporates updated music, PokéCries, and a custom storyline full of humor and cultural references.

 


Story Overview

You play as Fat Kid, a character with a passion for technology. Fat Kid arrives in the Cheeto region, known for its technological advancements and donut shops. Upon arrival, he discovers the local Professor’s lab has been destroyed. The Professor gives him a Porygon 5.0, a powerful new Pokémon.

Fat Kid’s mission is to stop Team Hippy, an organization aiming to destroy all technology. Alongside Porygon and its evolutions, Fat Kid must navigate the Cheeto region, encountering obstacles, challenges, and numerous comedic events. The story combines Pokémon gameplay with a tech-oriented narrative and humor, making it a lighthearted but engaging adventure.
