About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Emerald RTO6 (Randomized Team of Six) is a challenge-oriented ROM hack of Pokémon Emerald. From the very start of the game, players are given six fully randomized Pokémon at Level 5, and they cannot catch, breed, or use any other Pokémon for the duration of the adventure.
This design makes the hack essentially a Nuzlocke variant, but it can also be played casually for a fresh and unpredictable Emerald experience. The hack includes major quality-of-life improvements, accessibility adjustments, and a unique Service Area system to simplify trade evolutions and item acquisition.
Story Overview
The story remains largely faithful to the original Hoenn adventure, but the focus is on the challenge of completing the game with a single randomized team of six Pokémon.
Players must navigate the Hoenn region, challenge Gym Leaders, and defeat the Elite Four without the ability to catch or breed additional Pokémon, making strategic team management crucial.
