About This ROM Hack

Pokémon Extreme Red is a feature-rich enhancement hack of Pokémon FireRed that modernizes the Kanto experience by introducing mechanics and content from later generations. The hack focuses on visual upgrades, battle system improvements, new Pokémon, and quality-of-life features, while keeping the core FireRed storyline intact.

It is designed for players who want a more complex, visually updated, and challenging FireRed adventure without completely changing the original plot.

Story Overview

Pokémon Extreme Red follows the original Pokémon FireRed storyline, set in the Kanto region. Players begin their journey as usual, challenging Gym Leaders, stopping Team Rocket, and aiming to become the Pokémon Champion.

While the main story remains faithful to FireRed, new zones, secret locations, legendary Pokémon events, and portals add additional exploration and post-game content.
