Story Overview
Every time we played Pokémon Emerald, we unknowingly played a role in Wally’s journey. We helped him catch that mysterious Ralts, battled him at Mauville, and eventually faced him at Victory Road where he nearly proved himself as a true rival.
But this time, things are different.
This story takes place in an alternate universe where Wally is no longer a side character—he is the protagonist. Instead of following Brendan’s journey, you experience Hoenn entirely through Wally’s perspective. The questions that always surrounded him—how he trained his Ralts, how he grew so strong, and what his journey truly looked like—are finally explored.
You begin in Petalburg City, living with your uncle, and set out to obtain your very first Pokémon: Ralts. From there, your journey unfolds across Hoenn, encountering familiar events but from a completely different angle. Along the way, you build the same team Wally is known for, with certain Pokémon joining through story-driven events.
This version of Hoenn is shaped by Wally’s determination. Here, he is the one who rises, the one who overcomes every obstacle, and ultimately, the one destined to become Champion.
