About This ROM Hack
Pokémon Moon Black 2 is a large-scale ROM hack of Pokémon Black 2 that blends the worlds of Alola and Unova into a single adventure. Rather than simply adding newer Pokémon, the hack introduces a completely reimagined experience featuring new characters, regional forms, Mega Evolution, Fairy-type mechanics, additional story events, tougher battles, and an expanded post-game.
Players take control of either Sun or Moon, two trainers from the Alola region who travel to Unova after completing their island challenge. Throughout the adventure, you'll encounter familiar Alolan characters, battle redesigned Gym Leaders and Elite Four members, collect Mega Stones, and participate in a revamped Pokémon World Tournament featuring trainers from every Pokémon region.
The project also modernizes Pokémon Black 2 with mechanics inspired by later generations, making it one of the more ambitious Nintendo DS ROM hacks centered around the Unova region.
Story Overview
After becoming League Champion and clearing the final challenge on Hurrah Island, Professor Kukui allows Sun, Moon, and several other trainers to spend a year in the Unova Region to test everything they learned during their adventures in Alola.
Your rival Gladion joins you on the journey, and together you choose new starter Pokémon before setting out across Unova. As your adventure begins, rumors spread that Team Skull has also appeared in the region, creating new trouble far from Alola.
In addition to exploring Unova, your goal is to defeat the Unova Champion, earning the right to represent the Alola Region in the prestigious Pokémon World Tournament. Along the way, you'll uncover new events, encounter regional variants, battle powerful trainers from multiple generations, and discover why several Alolan trainers have traveled to Unova.

Known Bugs & Issues
The developer lists several known issues for the current Beta 4 release.
- Pokémon Cries: Not all Pokémon cries have been updated.
- Fairy Type Display: Fairy-type Pokémon appear correctly during battles but may display as Normal-type outside of battle.
- PC Icon Glitches: Fairy-type Pokémon can occasionally display incorrect icons in the PC. This is a visual issue and does not affect gameplay.
- Hall of Fame Warning: The developer advises not entering the Hall of Fame with a Fairy-type Pokémon, as doing so may cause issues.
Because the project is still in Beta, additional bugs and unfinished features may remain.
