Story Overview
Long before the existence of the modern Pokémon world, there was only a mass of unstable energy suspended between time and space. From this immense source of power emerged two beings.
The first was Arceus, born from a brilliant white light. The second was Darkevil, created from a faint and shadowy light. Together, they shaped the universe, created planets and stars, and eventually formed Earth. They also created both Pokémon and humanity so they could live together in harmony.
However, darkness gradually consumed Darkevil. The imbalance within his own body caused him to seek control over creation itself. Using his immense powers, he corrupted both humans and Pokémon, filling them with darkness and turning them against one another.
Forced into battle, Arceus confronted his brother in a devastating conflict. Although Arceus succeeded in defeating Darkevil, the victory came at a great cost. To ensure Darkevil could never again manipulate creation, Arceus willingly gave up his own power over the primordial energy. Their divine powers were sealed within two sacred spheres, while both legendary beings lost their original forms and became greatly weakened.
Many ages later, a 14-year-old protagonist begins a Pokémon journey across the Pravia Region alongside their sibling. At the same time, a childhood neighbor also starts their own adventure, and together they receive their first Pokémon from Professor Luna at the region's Initial Center.
What begins as a normal journey quickly changes after encountering the mysterious Equipo Oscuro, an organization claiming to be descendants of the humans once possessed by Darkevil. They have begun stealing Pokémon, and the creatures under their control display unusual aggression.
Determined to stop them, the protagonist sets out to uncover the truth behind the ancient legend. During the adventure, the journey eventually extends beyond Pravia into the Unova (Teselia) Region, where secrets hidden for centuries finally begin to surface.
